Starting and finishing in Hylands Park near Chelmsford, our closed road 100 mile route will take 15,000 riders on an unforgettable journey through the beautiful Essex countryside, showcasing the very best of this magnificent county and retracing the legendary 2014 Tour de France Stage 3 route. With roughly 1,200m of climbing, it’s a beginner friendly route that riders of all abilities are going to enjoy.

The predominantly rural route is punctuated with quaint towns and villages, including the historic market towns of Great Dunmow, Saffron Walden, Steeple Bumpstead and Finchingfield – the most photographed village in the UK!
